All The Single Ladies on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day – this is arguably the most romantic day of the year.

Unless of course you’re single.  And you can’t escape from the non-stop promotion of the day because it starts right after New Year’s Day.  If this February 14th finds you single, don’t close your blinds and binge on Haagen-Dazs ice cream (really don’t, it’s delicious but full of fat and calories), celebrate with the most important person in your life: You!

Dinner and Drinks

If Cupid forgot to shoot his arrow into someone’s ass for you, then it’s up to you to treat yourself to a nice meal and fine wine.  I’m not talking about going out to a fancy restaurant and having to endure all the PDA-loving couples on display but a nice home-cooked meal.  Something you always wanted to try but never got around to doing. Better yet, have a nice meal delivered to your home. Don’t skimp on the appetizers or dessert. Compliment the meal with an alcoholic beverage of your choice.  No compromising, it’s whatever you like.

Movie

Now that dinner is prepared and ready to eat, put on a movie to enjoy your meal by.  Look away from the sappy rom-com, put down any tear-jerking movie you’re fingering, this day is about empowering women.  So how about Joy, Wild or even Kill Bill.  These movies will remind you how great it is to be in total control of your life. You don’t have to worry about someone else’s selfish behavior affecting you.
